Nostalgia & feeling ill.

It’s been a while since I last did a life update post. So many things happened since then that I can’t and even don’t want to write about all of them. But today I decided to write just a small post about how I’m feeling and where I’m at.

As some of you probably know, I live in the UK. But for the whole three months of summer I am staying in the Czech Republic with my family (with the exception of my travels, of course). So far it has been really nice and relaxing – that is being home and not having to take care of everything just by myself. There have been ups and downs but that’s a given – nothing can always be perfect. I got to meet many of my friends that still live here and overall it has just been a wonderful experience.

I’ve realized two things:

1) I really miss being home with my family and friends.

2) I also miss Glasgow.

It’s funny how you’ll always miss the one thing you don’t have – when I’m in Glasgow I long for my family and when I’m home I miss my uni life.

However, what I wanted to say in this post is this: I am really sorry for not uploading regularly enough. I am not feeling very well currently as I am down with a cold. I’ve also been travelling a bit (you can expect a post about it kind of soon) and I am going to Amsterdam next week so I’m really trying to overcome this cold so I feel fit and ready for my next trip. This means staying in bed all day, drinking hot cocoa and tea and rewatching some of my favourite series (lately it has been Game of Thrones since season 7 just started and I couldn’t be more excited).

So… yep. That’s what I’m currently up to. I’ll try to get back to posting more regularly once this craziness settles down.

Thanks for your patience,

Veronika x
